Green Forty Nine

The “Promessa” is a vintage-styled tri-compax automatic chronograph that hails to designs from the sixties and seventies.

During those days when the equipment was less electronic, the availability of chronograph is vital for both racers and engineers. In modern day, wearing an automatic chronograph is as exacting as it was back in racer’s pit.

The sunburst finished dial is a tribute to vintage racing liveries when cars were bright, fast, dangerous and designed way ahead of its time.

As we know, that watch cases during those eras were smaller than today’s standard, so we pumped up the diameter, nine to three, to 42 millimeters. At the same time to accommodate the ultra-robust Seiko NE-88 automatic movement.

The case is mostly brushed with an exception of the polished bezel to add contrast. All leather straps are handmade with case thickness in mind. Both leather strap and nylon strap are equipped with custom-made buckle.
